Steyr M95 8x56R
Ser No 3147 Barrel 19 ½”, Stock POL 13 ¼”
Steyr M95/30. Straight pull Mannlicher-designed Austro-Hungarian service rifle. A beautiful example with excellent metal and woodwork. S stamped on the barrel indicating it was rechambered to 8x56R Spitzer in the 1930s. Rear sights replaced as part of that rechambering. The bolt and slide on the main body are marked ‘K’ indicating kurz or short to compensate for minor, infrequent head-space issues. The stock is stamped with 3147 and (on the other side, steamed out prob at time of rechambering, 2738).
A lovely historic piece.
