Langenhan Kleinkaliberbuchse .22LR Falling Block
The left top flat of the barrel is marked "F.L. -- KLEINKALIBERBÜCHSE Cal 22 Long rifle" and the last 6 1/4 inches of the barrel is grooved for 9mm sight/scope mounting. Falling block with push ejector.
Manufactured between WWI and WWII, this rifle has an adjustable front sight and a fully adjustable rear peep sight with pinned diopter. The left side of the falling block is marked "EINGETR/F L Z/MARKE". There is a hand engraved simple line border with some small flourishes of scroll on the sides of the receiver and personalised with the initials ‘L.B.W’. Single trigger with square adjustment screw.
The most interesting function is the position of the block when it returns to a natural position as it acts as a slide for the next round.
A rare, intriguing piece.
