About us and Buying from us
We are a small father and son business specialising in classic military and sporting firearms: Mauser, Lee Enfield and Mannlicher rifles are of particular interest. We both shoot with the Red Rose Rifle Club at Altcar and Warcop as well as at Sedbergh Shooting Club. John (father) is Secretary of the Red Rose Rifle Club and HBSA Northern Group. Hugh (son) is highly knowledgeable about all classic firearms but specialises in John Moses Browning. He also works part time at the Royal Armouries cataloguing collections.
We are both members of the HBSA (Historical Breechloading Smallarms Association) and BSAC as Trade members.
Buying from Us
We are conveniently situated on the Lancashire - Cumbria - N Yorkshire border, 8 mins from the M6. Viewing is strictly by appointment only although we are quite flexible on timings to suit.
Viewing an item is the best way to assess its condition. Whilst we make every effort to ensure the description and photographs reflect an item's condition, personal opinion may differ. We are very happy to send an item to an RFD for viewing at your cost.
You must have the required licence to purchase any of the stock shown. We will indicate for each item which Section of the Firearms Licensing Act applies. We are happy to reserve a piece for a 20% deposit whilst you apply for a variation.
Commission Sales. We are happy to sell items for customers for a 15% fee (plus VAT). These items are outwith our 6 month guarantee.
Payment - cash on collection or BACS are the preferred means. The bank details will be on the invoice we will send to you. Cards can be taken if required for a small fee.
We will normally guarantee all our firearms for 6 months so long as they have not been modified or abused in anyway.
We are not liable for damage caused by the use of incorrect ammunition.
